Ear to the Earth Ensemble is very happy to announce the composers selected for the workshops in Italy:
Antoine Gabriel Brun (France) with the piece Sub Limine
Iulia Sinescu (Romania) with the piece Lament of the Glaciers
Kirsten Johnson (USA/UK) with the piece The Four Elements
Reo Pramana (NL) with the piece Fading Scenery
Miki Manabe (Japan/Germany) with the piece Ringing Insect
Ana Creangă (Romania) with the piece Woodcutter father to woodcutter son
We are very excited to work with these composers on their pieces, but we couldn’t miss this opportunity to thank all of the composers that applied for this Open Call. We received more than 20 submissions from all over the world, with pieces full of creativity, clear and very innovative ideas, and with a strong connection to our work and mission.

Cooperativa Sociale il Visconte di Mezzago - BLOOM, Italy
As Ear to the Earth Ensemble, we are very excited to reach out to composers from all around the world: we are looking for new repertoire!
In April 2025, we will have a residency in Italy in partnership with Cooperativa Sociale il Visconte di Mezzago - BLOOM. There we will prepare a new program, develop performance skills in workshops and play a number of concerts.
Thus, we are now looking for new compositions that we can work on during this residency and add to our repertoire. We would love to hear your voice!
Interested applicants should read the full guidelines below and submit their materials no later than 11:59 CEST on April 5th, 2025.
