For Change

Discover what Ear to the Earth offers beyond the normal concert experience

Workshops

Ear to the Earth delivers workshops for people of all ages, nationalities, and backgrounds. We curate each specifically with the audience and goal in mind, aiming to be as accessible as possible.

Previous workshops include the artistic social house Cinemaximiliaan in Molenbeek, Brussels; the Education Master within the Brussels Conservatory; and De Voorkamer in Lombok, Utrecht, among others.

Concerts

We see concerts and performances as tools for engaging the audience. We employ a variety of techniques in our shows. You can expect interaction and improvisation at every performance — elements which draw people into the experience.

We also focus on performances in alternative spaces, believing music should be accessible, and communicative with the space itself: how does performing in a museum or someone’s living room change the experience? We are always looking for new locations and communities to connect with!

Lastly, our music reflects an environmental perspective. Much of our repertoire uses natural materials as instruments or evokes nature through data, text, movement, or simple inspiration. While we categorize it as contemporary chamber music, we see it as essential art for audiences to engage with. This is art that mirrors the zeitgeist and allows us to reflect in new ways.
